Botz Group is the robotics line of business. Its thesis is that the interesting problem is no longer whether a machine can move — it is whether a machine can hold authority, be accountable for what it does, and settle for the work. Six conditions define that, and the group publishes an assessment of how far the field actually is against them.
The honest answer today is: not far. Authority averages 0.67 out of 3 across the categories assessed and settlement averages 0.17. Publishing that is the point — the gap is the business.
